my home town

Tianjin is my hometown.

It is situated is the northern parts of China. Tianjin is an old, big and industrial city. It's area is 11,920 square kilometres. It's population is about 10 million people. There are some famous universities such as Nankai University and the Tianjin university, which are old but fascinating.

There is a river in Tianjin. When summer comes some people like to swim in it. There is a new soccer stadium which will be used for the Olympics in 2008.

Food is delicious but isn't expensive. Some people who live in Beijing go there for lunch or dinner because it is very close to Beijing. There is a lot of beautiful snow in winter. Childern always made snowmen and had snowfights.
I love and miss my hometown.

Hi Jane

Your city looks attractive. One of the staff at our school went to China for his holidays. In my class in Dunedin, NZ, there are some Chinese-speaking students too. Please let me know your email address so that they can write to you.

HI Jane, I liked your description of Tianjin. Will you be going there next year for the Olympic games ?
